Keeping it rolling along....

Over the past month I've managed to pick up a nice couple of domain names that had not been renewed. I've started a gambling directory on the softgames.co.uk name which is a perfect name for that type of site and I've installed joomla with the link directory component on it to do the donkey work. It looks ok and we'll come back to it when it's got listed in google and starts getting a bit of traffic. Today I picked up marvelslots.co.uk which is ideal for building a nice niche site so that's another few days work there as well. Not sure what template I am going to use on that yet so there's no site for the moment.

Live casino dealers are becoming more and more popular and I picked up livecasinoplayer.co.uk but I think rather than build a new site for that niche I'll incorporate it into the existing casino site.

Speaking of which I also managed to snag casinodeposit.co.uk which is a nice enough name but I'm not sure it will get the conversions from that keyword right off the bat so it's on the backburner. It's a good name but it needs a good joomla database component so that you can enter all of the casinos and then add the payment methods so that they become searchable. For example "show me all casinos that accept UKash" or "show me all casinos that accept paypal" that type of thing. Reviews software is not much good for that so if anyone has any ideas...

This week I started on a foray into the mobile games market with a mobile scratch cards site and I've managed to get the skeleton up quite quickly using this months new joomla template from rockettheme and it looks ok. A couple more days work on fleshing out the content and by the end of the week it should be complete. These rockettheme templates come with iphone support built in so they are perfect for building mobile gambling sites.

In my last post I was getting all geared up for building a new site and using the adwords voucher but I've killed that idea. I think it's a great idea but it's a huge project and there are far easier ways of paying the mortgage at the moment without having to reskill up on adwords and get the chops for that process. Adwords is a science in it's own right and now I've got going with the link building I'm going to stick with that and not get sidetracked.
